I went into this morning pretty much terrified. I had no idea what to expect and really just felt clueless. Not that I know anymore than I did, but I ended the day with a smile on my face...and that is all I could ask for. Even though I totally couldn't feel my legs and my bladder was so angry that I couldn't go all day, I survived.
Somehow the day just flew right by me and I really got nothing done. However, I DID get to know the students so that was pretty successful in my book. I think I scored on my class. I am saying this now just in case in totally changes tomorrow and I want to run home and hide. :)
They are so sweet and I actually am pretty excited about the year. Hopefully we all get on the same page so everything isn't procedures out the wazooooo.
What made my day more than anything was the support I received.
My mom has been my saving grace as usual. Sending me lots of info about the first day and first day activities. Her and my dad were trying to save me by sending sweet and encouraging texts. I think it worked. And to my surprise and much thanks I got flowers from the rents and Jeff. Record. And coming home to my husband was a blessing in itself.
So tomorrow might be totally hell and awful, but I'm just going to enjoy today. Or maybe that's the bath relaxation and beer talking.

p to the s. I don't add this stuff to brag or boast (sp?) I do it to count my blessings. Especially on those really really really sucky days. Let's just pray tomorrow doesn't happen to be one of them!
