Wedding Wednesday (dos)

Wow, crazy how a whole WEEK flies by.
I feel like my brain was all scattered talking about the wedding like... yesterday.
Or maybe because I was....
Just not to you guys.

TODAY.
I am going to actually do as I say and write about a topic.
Today is WEDDING LOCATION.
Ya, haven't even done that yet.
Whoops.
(I do have awhile though, we are in the clear.)
After May 22 don't worry I won't slack as much.
My brain is CONSUMED in school right now.

Anway,
Wedding Location
Whew.
A tough topic.
I have been back and forth, back and forth, back and forth on this one.
The choices:
1. My hometown
2. My current town where Jeff and I met.

I grew up Catholic and went to a Catholic School for 9 years.
Uniforms and all.
Best 9 years of my entire life. Hands down.
I went to church more in those 9 years than most people do in their lifetime.
No lie.
That church is a part of me.
That school is a part of me.
This is why I wouldn't want anything more than to get married in it.
To go before the Lord and show him this love I've found.
He'd be impressed I think :)

however

My current town has so many more options in regards to rehearsal dinner, wedding location, and receptions.
But...they cost you an arm, a leg, and maybe a head.
Well, maybe not but more than my hometown let's just say.
The ones that do compare, are pretty much the same type of thing.
Building. Bland. Not Outside.
Normal Reception type of dealio.
But when I think of where I want to marry Jeff, I think of my hometown church.
I have just always pictured myself there.
It just seems right.
Standing on the altar looking out
to all the ones I love the most.
Because let's be serious....
the only people I even care to be there are
the ones that support us, love us, and would do anything for us.

On this one I feel like I should just go with my gut.
I had never even questioned where I would get married.
That was always the answer.
Jeff isn't Catholic or from my hometown (he's from a town 40 minutes away).
So that is the only reason I have put somewhere else into my mind.
But I think when someone feels right, you should just go with it.
Make it happen.
Lucky for me, Jeff is flexible.
I am very thankful for that.

All Pictures Via

So the verdict for now is going to be HOME,
as you all know I love so very...very much.
Jeff and I both have a special connection to our small towns.
It may not be a "dream location"  per say but I think it will
work perfect for us.
Let's see if my mind changes by tomorrow.
It is good at that.

Yes, that is the church I am talking about!
Gorgeous isn't it?

Any thoughts?
What do you base your location on?
Or am I just thinking too damn much as usual?
Either way, I know it will be amazing.
=)

p.s this has nothing to do with anything but I had a PROUD NANNY moment yesterday.
My baby (okay 6 year old) boy can now ride his bike WITHOUT training wheels.
Yes, it was a long time coming
but the joy in his eyes spoke for themselves.
proud nanny. right here.
Also, Jillian is back to her normal giggly, ice loving, and stealing Molly's iphone self.
yippee.

Happy Hump Day!

Truthful Tuesdays

Somedays I feel like I try to be so positive on my little bloggy blog, that I forget that this is a place
where I can let it all go.
Say it how it is.
Be me.

@

Most of the time I try to be positive and inspire others.
I enjoy it. A lot.
However, it is not human to do that everywakingminute.
I wish!
But ya, that is unrealistic.
Sorry, but everyone has bad moments, bad days, frustrations.
We are HUMAN. It's life. It happens.
Sometimes I forget that it is OKAY to not always be positive.
I forget that it also is what makes me who I am.
Even if I am very unpleasant when I am the oppositive of positive and inspiring.
Whoops.

So. Truthful Tuesday's is where it's goin to go down.
DA TRUTH.
Warning: Cursing may arise when I get into something.
You have been warned.
Thanks Dad for the idea.
=)

TRUTH

I am overwhelmed.
Sadly, that isn't even all of it. Waaaaah.
so much too do, so little time

I can't get back into my work out routine.
For the life of me.
I just can't.
I feel like a fatty tatty.
And to be quite frank with you, it pisses me off.
Like physically my body will not allow itself to feel good right now.
Even though my head tells it that I would be MUCH more awake and rearing to go if it would just wake it's lazy butt up.
They obviously are not fond of each other.
I'm working on counseling them.
One.day.at.a.time.
It's frustrating because I enjoy working out, I enjoy sweating my butt off, I enjoy being sore, and I am in love with the feeling after I work out.
It's just not working out right now.
Hopefully this changes. Pronto.
Especially if I'm going to complete the above nonsense.

Long distance relationships blow a big one.
True dat.
Yes, distance does make the heart grow fonder.
BUT.
My heart was "fond" before without the 6 hours between us.
So uh...I prefer choice A.
It is so much harder to communicate and enjoy each other when you are not with each.
It is.
TRUTH.
And some people say skype makes it feel as if you are in the same room?
Ya well I call bullshit.
It just makes me frustrated.
Especially because we are both busy contantly and the time we do get to spend talking to each other we are both dead as a doornail. Maybe more Jeffrey than me but....ya :)
At least the countdown is something to look forward to.
(12 days)
I'm just ready for life to be normal again.
Thank goodness for my family for helping me through these times.
You rock my socks off.

TrueLife: I have Road Rage
bad.
If you see me, it would be smart to veer off the road.
I am that girl that will get on your booty if you are going the EXACT speed limit.
 I know this is dangerous.
I do.
I'm sorry for cursing at you out loud and under my breath.
It has nothing to do with you as a person,
just your slow driving skills.
I really can't control it.
And sometimes I wonder, is no one else ready to get to their destination?
Or are they smart and just enjoy that slow and steady pace?
Wish someone could teach me how to do that.

Rude people, go home.
Buhbye.
There is not point.
Does being rude make you feel better?
Does it make you just flipping CHEESE inside?
Well get over yourself and stop sucking.
Because not matter what is going on,
no matter how bad things are,
there is no excuse for behaviors that put down other people.
That make me them like the size of an ant.
Nada.
Nado.
Zip.
So please stop.
God is watching.
=)

(The truth also is......I'm very...very bery blessed.)

Thats all for today folks.
I bet you are relieved.
Tomorrow is Wedding Wednesday so it will be more CHEERY.
Have a WONDERFULTuesday :)

The Best Surprise EVER

Alright so as you know I seem to forget things easily.
Very easily.
After about 30 days... kapeesh. GONE.
My brain can only store so much knowledge you know.
And it is growing daily, about to burst.

Anyway,
I want to spend today to talk about a day in my life that was one of the best surprises..EVER.
{One of them}
This one was probably takes the cakerooni.

I wanted to share it with you today so I clearly do not forget it.
We don't want that. And my brain is only going to age, so why wait.
It happened about two years ago and the details are slipping away.
Waaaaah.
So, I am going to get it in here pronto before my brain knocks it out of wherever it is.
You can listen, or you don't have to.
It's whatever.
I'm going to tell it anyways :).

SO let's begin.
You see at one point in time I was 19 years old.
Stayed up until 3 most nights, naive, probably trying to be a rebble, and a lot of other things you do at 19.
Well as usual, I had my birthday on May 30.
Sorry I have to give you the details.
Remember, I forget them.
{I hope I can remember my birthday though. Fingers crossed}

ALRIGHTY.

For my 19th birthday I didn't really know what I wanted to do.
20 sucks.
Really, there is nothing cool about it.
It's just a TEASE before 21.
Jeff talked about going to the Royals baseball game and just enjoying life in the sun, eating seeds, probably some hot dogs, and of course nice cold BL.
I thought this sounded like a heck of a plan.
Where better than all of those things in the sweet summertime?
I talked to my parents and they had plans for the weekend so I was just going to stay in Lawrence and spend my birthday with my main squeeze.
I was a little upset I wouldn't get to see them all on my birthday,  but you can't help when you are busy!
Except I really couldn't picture a birthday without them.
That would be really weird now that I think about it.
Actually I might be mad. But I suppose that is not fair.
It was what it was.
This was actually  Jeff and I's first "birthday" together.
No idea what he was capable of.
Well, kinda because Valentines Day was pretty legit.

So I get to his house and he is ready to go,
cooler packed,
 shades on,
looking fine and we load up the car to go.
We get done packing up the car and he asks me to go get his GPS in his room.
Err? GPS.
Why do ya need that?
I said ok and headed back inside because I guess his poor legs were broke and couldn't go get it himself.
So I go back inside to get the GPS and open his bedroom door to find well....not exactly a GPS.
My jar dropped, my hands instantly flew to my face, and tears welled in my eyes.
All I remember is "SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!"
There they were....
all the people I love the very most.
All standing in front of me in Jeff's little bedroom screaming surprise.
For me.
Which scared the living poo out of me, btw.
Shock face was in full force.
"You really thought we wouldn't come see you on your birthday?"
Jeff had arranged for them all to come to go to the Royals game with us.
As a family.
Because he knows they make me the happinest in the world.
He knew there would be nothing more I wanted for my birthday.
{Expect for that beast of a Guess watch he also gave me that day}
He knew that I wanted to spend time with ALL of them on my birthday.
He knew me, so....well.
My parents had brought a cooler of beer, food to grill, and even a birthday cake.
OH and how could I forget the birthday card of a disney princess that was singing to me.
It was really somethin' special.
Jeff & I even got on the kiss cam at the game.
Funny though...Jeff got BOO'd.
I was like uhhh why are they booing us about to kiss? That's rude.
Royals fans really aren't fond of Yankee hats.
And I do not blame them one bit.
This story is greatly shortened for your convienance and loss of details but I can honestly say....
it was one of the best birthdays of my entire life.

I will never forget it.
Yes, maybe the little details.
But I will never forget the way it felt.
For someone I had only known for six months, to know me well enough to invite and organize for my WHOLE family to come up for my birthday.
Because he knew that family is #1 in my life.
I think that was the day I just knew.
Something just hit me out of nowhere.
That that boy was going to be by my side the rest of my life.
And I thank God every day for putting him in it. Through the good days and the bad.
Family. Over. Everything.
Now I'm crying.
KEWL. Koo-ul.Cool.
I think I'm just emotional these days.

HAPPY MONDAY.
xoxo

{Oh, and if any of you guys (Mom, Dad, Patrick, Jacob, Ashley, or Jeff remember more details about the day that I forgot or left out. Let me knowso I can change it. But thank you for spending that very special day with me:)) One for the books! Fo sho.}

For some reason I look high. Sorry. And Jacob's hat looked really weird on my head. What can ya do.

Clear Signs of a Pub Crawl

Once upon a time there as a girl named Molly who went on a pub crawl.

She was very excited that the day had finally come, and went to try on her shirt for the big event. Come to find out it was made for somene 100 lbs heavier, it was a nice looking dress on Molly.
She was uncomfortable, but was not a hater.
 It is what it is.

Sure sign of a good time. Blurry pics.
So during this pub crawl she decided to get a little rowdy to forget about how silly she looked.
This was a bad decision.
It was also a bad decision to let a stranger join their pub crawl.
However, when he generously bought five of the members a drink they forgot he was even a stranger.

It' already 11:30? Ugh
The night went on and four more bars were tackled in the process.
The rain did not stop the crew from getting down and having a good time.
It did make Molly look like a drowned rat though.
She didn't care.

I wasn't finished with my drink, so I took it with me :) Whoops. Sorry for partying.
All she wanted was some frozen yogurt.
At 2:00 a.m in the morning, she can't help her addition.
However, no members would follow so Molly drowned her tears in a schooner of BL.
This helped Molly's heart heal from the saddness of no fro yo.

Oh sun, when I can get out of bed I will see you soon.

So did her late night pita pit.
Delish.
She ended up going home, sleeping peacefully with her night's clothes still on, and lived happily ever after.
Until the next morning.
The end.

Not I'm going to go have ten salads, run around the block 100 times, and play outside all day.
Then I will most certainly feel like myself  again.

Hopefully y'all had a good Friday night and a beautiful Saturday!!

Did you do anything fun and exciting last night?
School of Education Pub Crawl 2011
Future Teachers of American :)
Do you feel like a champ today?
I always feel like a champ after a pub crawl.
My body does not agree though.

Sometimes you just gotta say "Hmmmm?"

Don't blame me if that song is in your head all day.
"It's Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin' down on Friday
Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend"

True dat Rebecca Black!

It's Friday.
It's random.
And going nowhere.
Rainy days to it to me.
Can't help myself.

I'm gonna talk about dreams.
Speaking of dreams, they are crazy.
Where do they come from?
I think I learned this in high school.
I am almost scared to know why the brain picks the events it does to play out in my head at night.
I heard you dream about what you think about before you go to bed.
I do not believe this. At all. False. Nope. Incorrect.
Have you ever had a dream where you had to relive something?
Go through the emotionally roller coaster of remember something you try so hard to forget?
Wake up and know you are going to think about it all day?
Pissed at your brain for actually remembering a dream.
Ya, well it happened to me and then I didn't even wanna get out of bed.
Then I remember.
Can't change the past Molly, gotta look forward.
Keep on, Keeping on.

Doubles thumbs up for having a good Friday. Whoot Whoot.

I also had a few moments yesterday that I wanted to talk about.
You know those moments when you just feel like something in you changed?
You, for that second, became a better person.
Happened to me.
I have always tried to live by the saying "Never judge a book by it's cover."
Sometimes it's hard.
It's hard to see past first impressions and outer apperances.
Sometimes it just is.
I wish I could say I have never done it, but I have and am not proud of it. At all.
But yesterday, something changed.
Weird.
I realized...once again...that even though someone may act a certain way on the outside, there are so many external factors playing a role on their actions that haze over who they really are.
Especially students in a classroom, but that isn't what I'm talking about.
Not to name any names, but I have a teacher.
haha. nice sentence right.
Well I have a teacher this semester that I cannot stand.
Plain and simple she drives me and the rest of my class up a tree, mountain, wall, and cliff.
She has to control every little situation and treat us like we are like uh....2. Maybe 1. Depends on the day.
I had a meeting with her yesterday.
She was a different person.
Helpful, kind, talked to me like I was in COLLEGE. Imagine that.
We talked about biases.
We all have them.
But then I noticed/discovered her husband has been deployed and will be gone for another 8 months.
I thought to myself if maybe this was why she felt she had to control all situations, because she can't isn't even allowed to control when she gets to see her own husband.
It makes me sad to think about.
I can't even imagine.
It makes you think really really hard about the way you look at people.
Maybe you really don't know the whole story.
There is usually something more, something deeper, that just hasn't been told or discovered.
Like another teacher has said before, "Behaviors give us a clue about a story untold."
Interesting.
So for today and hopefully the rest of my days I will concentrate on seeing the person who is behind the untold stories, sorries, fears and start seeing the person behind the scenes, the love, good, and beautiful person they really are.
This won't be an easy road and I'm sure there will be some days that I get caught up in it, but I'm hoping I will be able to slowly change these outlooks and perceptions I may have.
I probably lost you after Friday anyway because you probably ran to the club, got a beer, and were jamming in the backseat because that video got you so pumped.
I understand completely.

Since it is Friday,
I think I'm going to go ride rollercoasters.
Happy Friday, Friday.

bahah I got to work early and decided to have a little fun :)

Now That It Is Spring....

First things first,
Dear Molly:
I am pleased to inform you that you have been admitted on regular status to the 5th Year Licensure MSE/Elementary program at The University of Kansas for the Fall 2011 term.
^
That is scary.
Second things...second,
Thank you kindly for all your help with the wedding.
I greatly appreciate it.

***

Now for mi spring spill.
I need to get busy.
For real.
The sunshine makes me not want to do anything but play outside.
I really just wanna lay in the sunshine face up (obviously), soaking up the rays.
But sadly, I have a job and school which happen to require me getting off my back deck and actually doing something productive.
As I was laying in my back yard typing a paper, I realized a few things.
As usual.
Most of things involved what I needed to do to get ready for spring.

Some things I need for Spring:

1. ) Manicure/Pedicure
Need to get me some gorgeous pink on my footsies.
And fingers.
and...yup that's it.
If you haven't noticed, which I'm sure you have, my polish is coming off in 9 out of 10 of my pictures.
If you think my fingers look rough, imagine my toes that have been captive all winter.
Ya......

2.) Uh...Color. What is that? My body forgot.
Seriously.

3.) Lake Bod.
That went down the drain when I ate like a whole pan of "better than crack brownies".
The title wasn't lying.
I couldn't stop eating them.
And no...I've never done crack, so don't even go there.

Come back to me Summer body.

4.) Spring Cleaning.
Trust me, you don't want to see a picture of what my room looks like.
Hurricane? Tornado?
Ya...something went through that thing without my knowing.
I'm starting today.
Plus, it is raining.
What else am I supposed to do?

5.) Lastly, please keep my miss Jillian in your prayers.
She was admitted to the hospital yesterday morning and will not come home until at least tomorrow.
She is on breathing treatments and trying to get her little lungs cleared out again.
I told her she had the right to be P.O'd, but she is being such a good girl and I'm hoping this all ends soon for her.
She needs our prayers to get her strong and healthy again.
I cannot take seeing her this way.
Please send them to precious little self.

Yes, she is flashing you if you don't.
=)
