just relax

Good morning and happy, happy, HAPPY Friday.

I use to be the biggest fan of Friday's. Every Friday I felt like I was free again and would have two whole days to do whatever my little heart desired.

Now Friday just means that we are weeks closer to school starting back up again and these glorious days of sleeping in and relaxing will be over.

Don't get me wrong, I really like my job. But get me right, it is mentally and physically exhausting. I used to think it was hard to take care of myself, until I had thirty-six kids who I had to take care of.

So as much as I will love when the school year starts fresh, I am thoroughly enjoying these months of relaxation and getting everything done I was too tired to do during the year.

None of this really has anything to do with my post today though. All I really wanted to post today was a picture that most of you have probably already seen if you follow me on instagram or facebook.

This picture had me cracking up for hours. Literally. Ask my husband. We would be in the car going to dinner and I would just start dying laughing all over again.

So for all you who are nearing those two glorious days off. YAHOO! It's FRIDAY! And don't forgot to relax. Piper said so.

Oh, Piper

Since we don't have a kid, I feel it is only necessary to treat our dog like one. She is a person and all. At least, she sure acts like it.

So therefore today will be all about Piper pants. Our little black miniature schnauzer who sits like a lady, but bites like a man. Not that men bite but, well, it's all I had.

Miss Piper has changed quite a bit since we picked her up just a few months ago all bundled up in her fleece pink blanket. She still hops like a rabbit, but boy has our little Piper changed.

her furry days

Piper likes to eat about everything that exsists. You name it, it's in her mouth faster than you can say P... I mean that girl fast. I open the door to our laundry room and she darts in there just fast enough to sneak under my legs, find my underwear somewhere, run out and try to eat it. It's ridiculous.

She also has the biggest personality I have ever seen. She is too damn smart for her own good I tell ya. She knows what she wants, and exactly how to get it. Maybe that's why she is so good for her Daddy. She bats her shaved little eye lashes at him and gets whatever she pleases. Mostly snuggles, and ice. That's how they roll.

Speaking of ice, this chick also is obsessed with ice. Her go to treat. Hey,  I'll take it. And the girl even sits and stays now. Cutest thing ever. Husband is teaching her to shake but that isn't coming along as nicely. And I tell ya, those two are best friends. Jeff is so in love with that dog. And she, well she is probably more in love with him.

It's kinda funny how much a human being can love a dog. I love that little shaved leg eating pup with all my heart.

Anyway, little thang is growing up, losing teeth, and we are just so blessed to have her in our household. And yes...I really just wrote a post about a dog. It just happened. But hey, she's cute so it works.

our Piper girl

My heart is just busting out of the seams right now.

On Friday, November 16th, we brought our first little black miniature schnauzer home. It took less than 5 seconds to fall entirely head over heels in love with her. I may be completely nuts, but the happiness she already brings us just brings me to tears (of joy). Okay yes, I am totally crazy.

Whoever thought that a little pup chasing around leaves, dragging water bottles around, and trying to eat momma's diamonds could be so entirely adorable and perfect?

Really, everything she does just makes me beam. And somehow she thinks my pony tail turns into a chew toy when it goes in a bun. Serious attack mode goes down.

She also got to experience her first KU game. Even though she wasn't the good luck charm we needed, she rocked it and was quite the trooper. Plus, she got to hang out with her grandma, gramps, and uncle. Of course she had fun.

Anyway, I know that this is simply a dog. A four legged animal. But to me, she is a part of our little family. And I am so dang thankful she is. We just love her to a million bazillion pieces.

Welcome to the family baby girl.

(Lord help us when we actually have children)

newest member of our family

So I've been waiting to make this announcement on the blog because I didn't want to jinx anything.

However, on November 16th (aka this FRIDAY) we will gain another member to our family. Obviously a baby cannot grow that fast so sorry, I am not pregnant.  Plus if you have me on instagram (mollyjs3) you caught the news last weekend.

We will be blessed to gain a little furry black miniature schnauzer who we are going to call Piper. Excitement is definitely the understatement of the century. I seriously feel crazy anxiety every time I think about it and am just so ready to hold the little thang.

We found out we were getting here last weekend and it may kill me to wait until Friday. Leaving that little face was definitely not easy. It did get me some time to get her a bed, a fleece blanket made, and some toys. Gotta make it perfect for the princess herself.

SO welcome to the S family Miss Piper Renee. Yes, she gets a middle name. She's that cool.

HAPPY SUNDAY!

xoxo
