Bumpdate - 30 Weeks

Hit the big 3-0, 10 more to go! (Let's hope no more than 10 :))

So what has been going on this week? We had our 30 week check up this week. Little miss's HR was 144 BPM. I actually think that has been the lowest yet. We didn't find out any information other than I lost a pound, which I have NO idea how. They didn't act concerned so I'll roll with it!

A few other happenings this week were my first consignment sale and our first birthing class. The consignment sale was a bust, but I'm hoping that the next one I go to will be a jackpot! C'mon salescome to momma. As for the birthing class, it was good but a lot of the information I feel like I knew. It was nice to know the hospitals protocol and what was going to happen at each step of early labor - delivery and after. I am glad we went. We got to see where the big day would go down and it made it all definitely a little more real. Less than 10 weeks now. Wowza!

How far along? Hitting the 3 mark! 10 to go. Sounds so far, yet so closeah, can't wait to squeeze her! Still trying to soak up these last few weeks as our little family of three. Three as in me, husband, and the Pipes :)

Baby Size: Our little pineapple

She is able to see and her eyes are wide open scoping out her little environment. Not sure what you can see, but I doubt it's as entertaining as the Bachlorette. Fluid is now present inside the lungs to help her take her first breath at birth!

Maternity Clothes:  Yes and..yes. Poor t-shirts don't even fit anymore.

Movement? Mhhhhhm. They are definitely slow movements though and definitely stronger. I really think sometimes an arm is going to pop out of my skin. I still love each and every one of them.

Food cravings/adversions? Nope. I still love the same ol' things. Give me some cereal and I'll be happy all day. Oh, and chips. Someone get them away from me!

Nausea, vomiting, or sickness? Nope. Feeling pretty good in that department.

What I miss:

Symptoms?  Having backaches constantly, ex.haus.ted (for no reason),

Best moment(s) this week? Finding an adorable print for our girl's nursery. I don't know if it will match the rest, but boy will I try to make it! It may be my new saying for her. So true, the world is VERY lucky to have her. As are we.

Thanks Hobby Lobby!

Gender:  GIRL! Who hopefully has a for sure name soon :)

Sleep? I can't complain too much about this. It's not like my old sleep, but it is sleep and I will take it!

What I'm looking forward to? Seeing the nursery come together, getting our bedding and crib, and getting closer to her due date! Yeee!

Bumpdate - Week 29

While we I am speaking, I'm pretty sure I am getting a broken rib. Just in case you were wondering what was going on this very second with out dear little (very strong) one. (This was written last week when I was actually 29 weeks)

So what has been going on this week? This week with Baby S was pretty low key in most ways. We currently only have one working vehicle, so we got to spend a lot of time at home. I also go to hang out with miss Laura for a little bit one day and am getting so, so anxious to meet her little precious girl soon!

Last weekend Jeff's mom came out to hang out and help paint the baby's dresser and this weekend my parents came up and helped start knocking out the painting in the baby's room and got it all.cleared.out!  I cannot thank all of them and my husband enough for all of their help. This past weekend was literally two full days of them at it transforming the old boring room to a freshly painted gray room with new trim, new closet doors, and a blank slate to work with. So thankful. We can slowly start piecing her little oasis together and I am beyond ecstatic. Beyond. She could probably care less, but I have been so ready to get it started and the day has finally come!

Piper has been enjoying it too. She loves sleeping in there. Maybe because I spent a lot of time just sitting in our nursery chair staring at the room and just picturing the finished product and our little miracle inside. My favorite place to be by far.

How far along? 29 weeks, 11 to go! So close, yet so far. I'm really trying to enjoy all of this time I have to sleep in and hang out with Jeff. I know it will all change soon so I'm trying to soak it all in.

Baby Size: Acorn Squash this week. Doesn't sound appetizing but it sure sounds cute.

She is about 3 lbs now and gaining fat by the day! Her permanent teeth are also forming in her gums :) Getting ready for those pearly whites!

Maternity Clothes:  Oh yes, and just ordered a couple more shirts because I'm growing out of all mine. Girl needs some pants though, stat.

Movement? Oh yes, and it is definitely getting stronger and more of a movement than a jab or kick, yet I still feel those too. She still loves my ribs too. I always wonder what she's doing in or around there. Still my favorite thing to date. Love each and every bump and move!

Food cravings/adversions? None this week really. Still am no fan of full chicken breasts. Ice cream sure has sounded extra awesome though. Braum's chocolate shake, I looooove you.

Nausea, vomiting, or sickness? No but a few times thing week I've felt sick to my stomach. Not sure if it was something I ate or what. No vomiting or sickness though so heck yes!

What I miss: Being able to sit in a lawn chair :) Haha. I can't sit in one for more than 5-10 minutes because my back lights on fire. But other than that, I don't miss TOO many things. I am excited for some coffee and wine though, I'll tell ya that!

Symptoms?  The back aches are still staying strong. I usually go to bed around 9 PM every night just because I can't get comfortable anywhere else. I usually can't go to sleep for a few hours though. I haven't been waking up to pee which has been AWESOME and weird, all at the same time. I say more awesome though.  Thanks baby girl!

Best moment(s) this week? Starting on the nurseryof SHO!

Workouts: Maybe I should just delete this one?

Gender:  Hopefully still a GIRL! :) Otherwise, we have lots of clothes and room shopping to do!

Sleep? Knock on wood, but pretty good! I toss and turn every two seconds but I have been sleeping mostly through the night which makes me very thankful.

What I'm looking forward to? Continuing to finish the nursery, getting my bedding in, consignment shopping, and organizing all of Baby S's things! Oh, and meeting her…but she has to wake at least 10 weeks for that!

Baby S Shower

On June 29th, Baby S was very showered with love from all the people that are very dear to us. The lovely hosts did an amazing job and every detail was perfect…and pink. The two go hand in hand :)

We had the shower in my hometown and the room was filled with many people I have known my whole life and even before I was a twinkle in my mom and dad's eye. I even had one friend treck over four hours (28 weeks pregnant at the time) just to spend a few hours for our girl. My aunt was also in town from Boston! I hope Baby S could feel the love from everyone there to celebrate her!

I loved seeing everyone but always wish I could talk to everyone individual a whole lot more. I always feel like I left someone out or didn't get to chat with someone as much as I had liked. It was perfect though and I can't thank everyone enough for coming to spend the afternoon with us.

I couldn't get over all of the pink, homemade/personal gifts, big gifts that help us out so much, and each and every little gift that we received for our girl. I am still overwhelmed with thanks and to be honest, I sit in the baby's room every single day in the middle of the carpet and just stare at it.

I go through each and every gift, piece of clothing, bow, etc. and could do it over and over without it ever getting old. I love picking up the homemade gifts and thinking of how we will get to tell our baby girl the story behind them and how loved she is.

One of the most meaningful gifts I can't wait to tell her about is a quilt giving to us from my mom and dad that was started by my great grandma and she had it quilted for us. How neat for her to see that her own grandma gave her a blanket that her grandma's grandma had made. Ah...just makes me beam thinking of it.

It really was a special day and I wish I could go back and spend a whole week with all of those people. Especially my friends that I never get to see enough. There are just never enough laughs in one meeting. Or my family who I could spend time with all day every day. Never enough time but I am so thankful for the small amount of time we did have.

My Little Girl

Written July 7, 2014

Hello little one,

Today you are a big 28 weeks and 1 day old. I cannot believe we have less than three months until we meet your sweet little face. Somehow time flies, yet slows down all at the same time while you are in there kicking and twirling around. Some days I actually think you are practicing your break dancing skills or gymnastics moves.

I just wanted to let you know how very, very (times a bazillion) much I love you already. Everything you do, I have fallen completely in love with. Well, other than you scaring your poor mother :) You can hold off on that part!  But you are perfect in every way and I know you always will be in our eyes. God has truly blessed us with you my little one and I'm so thankful he chose US, little old us, for the job. I treasure this job and pray I can step up to the plate and be the best the best momma for you….because that's what you deserve. The very best.

I have so many hopes and dreams for you already, but what I really can't wait to see is you chase your own hopes and dreams. I can't wait to see your personality unfold, your first smile, first cry, first everything. I keep saying I can't wait, but really I can wait at least 10 weeks….keep cooking away for now :) Pretty please….

Lately I have really been able to feel you move around and my hand is permanently attached to my stomach trying to feel each and every move you make. I don't want to miss one second of it. I want to cherish every little minute I have with you now, and forever. I can't wait to physically hold you, but how I also love how you are near me all of the time. There is nothing I've ever experienced like it.

I have also discovered you must love ribs. Just like your daddy. But please don't eat mine, you can kick them all you'd like though. Or hide under them. Or whatever you are doing in there. I've also recently felt a lot of hiccups from you and I can't help but picture you doing so. How stinking cute you must look!

I also want you to know how much everyone else loves you too. Everyone you have "met", loves you so darn much. You are such a lucky little girl to have so many wonderful people already in your life. I can't wait for you to meet everyone. Your sister is ready to meet you, too. Well…I hope. She does keep trying to steal your bows and blankets though. Maybe she just wants to be like you?

I just wanted to write you a little letter. I hope you get to read these someday and I will looking over at you smiling and remember how you were once so small.

But please oh please, keep cooking away :)

We can't wait to meet you!!!

Love you always and forever,

Your Momma

Last Lake Hoorah

I can't believe that we have finally reached week 28/third trimester, the home stretch to meeting our precious little girl!

I also cannot believe that we won't be traveling until she is born, so next time we DO travel that means we will have a little sweet pea with us :) Crazy! The doc requested no traveling after 28 weeks. It's probably a good thing because we have A LOT to do to get ready for her arrival.

This past week we went on our last road trip which was to Table Rock Lake to my parents' lake casa. My little piece of heaven here on Earth. Our girl had many of firsts which included her first 4th of July, first boat ride, and first time "meeting" some of my aunts and uncle.

See? It's BEAUTIFUL. All the time. I wake up and get to see this view out of my window, it can't get much better than that.

No really, this is the view from "our" bedroom. Glooooorious! (hello mom, rebecca, and neighbor….oh, and piper)

I can't wait for our little girl to be running around their yard, playing in the water, and boating for many, many of years to come. I know she will love it as much as we all do. I mean…how could you NOT?!

Piper also approves.

I had to document the one day that I actually did not hair and looked presentable. 27 weeks 6 days in this picture! Grow baby grow! I'm sure my cheeks will continue to grow with her ;)

I know I've mentioned Roaring River on here before as another little piece of heaven on Earth, and lucky for us…it's only 20 minutes from where my parents' lake house is.

We got to stop by for a little bit one of the days we were there and watched the kiddos feed the fish in the hatchery and soak up the smell of campfires.

Most of the fun at the lake happens right here. Sippin' and sittin' on this dock. Which also happens to be the same dock that I was just sitting on 6 short months ago telling Jeff he was going to be a daddy. I kind of like that dock :)

And lastly…baby's first boat ride. I only got to go on the boat twice because it was way too busy and I didn't want to bound little miss outa there, so we got to go when it was decently quiet at nice and it was beautiful. There is just something about the lake…

Now I'm ready to go BACK!

Next time we are there…we won't be empty handed :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th and spent lots of time with family and friends!

Bumpdate - Week 27

So what has been going on this week? This week was spent at heaven on Earth aka the LAKE. Table Rock Lake to be exact. We got to spend the whole week with the family and it was glor-i-flipping-ous. The weather was on point and I planted myself in a lawn chair in the shade and cheers my water. Couldn't have asked for a better week.

Baby-related, she was being nice to us this week and there have been no issues (knock on wood) since our ER visit. There was a day where I barely felt her but thank heavens she made herself known the other days. I am excited to see her progress and see how big little miss is. Not sure if they can tell that without an ultrasound but who knows!

How far along? 27 weeks! To some, 3rd trimester! Whoop whop!

Baby Size: Cucumber or Head of Cauliflower - She is approximately a little over 15 (FIF-TEEN?!) inches and 2 1/2 pounds.

Maternity Clothes:  I guess I can stop saying yes because obviously we are THERE. I still can fit into my t-shirts though so let's cross my fingers it stays that way for awhile.

Movement? Yesssss! She tends to stay on the right side and her movements are become more "movements" instead of kicks and punches. Maybe that's why my hand is literally stuck to my stomach at all times because I don't want to miss one single movement. I love them all way too much.

Food cravings/adversions? Nope, still killin' the chips though! Help!

Nausea, vomiting, or sickness? No, thank goodness! Even though the curvy roads at the lake almost made me upchuck, thankfully my body kept it together.

What I miss: Being able to help out with more. I can't lift much and feel like Jeff is picking up a LOT of my slack. Thank God for that guy!

Symptoms?  Acid reflex is coming to play! Mostly with spicy foods (thank you Mexican food!).  I've also still had the lovely backaches, which I will take any backache in the world as long as sweet little miss keeps on a growing. I try to think that every time I am uncomfortable or scared.

Daddy-ism of the week: Well I might as well x this one off of the list because you know that thing called pregnancy brain? Well it's a reaaaaal thang and I cannot remember anything for the life of me. So therefore, I cannot recall any daddy-isms. I need to write them down, but we all know I can't remember that either.

Best moment(s) this week? Lots of movement, which ALWAYS makes me happy. Being at the lake all week long and enjoying this little slice of perfection. Hanging with the fam bam.

Workouts: Hmmm.

Gender:  Our little sweet pea!

Sleep? Other than the dreams of people dying and giving me heart attacks, sleep isn't too shabby!

What I'm looking forward to? Getting the nursery put together! I'm getting sooooo anxious! I also cannot WAIT to get my hands on the baby clothes and wash them. When I am at home I go through and look through them every day. They are so tiny and I cannot believe our baby will be in them in a few months! Lots to do, lots to do!

Bumpdate - Week 26

Darn, just when I got so excited to do two posts in a sweet…I skipped out on two whole weeks. Here's for a little catch up

So what has been going on this week? Week 26 was spent half in our current town and half in my hometown. My mom and aunt came up for the first half and helped us with our construction zone of a house casa, and then I ventured down to my hometown for our baby shower and some time at home before little miss makes her arrival! We took a little day trip to the ER, but thank God everything looked fine and she was squirmy as usual. I don't know if I can handle any more scares. Please keep the rest of this pregnancy boring baby girl :)

How far along? 26 Weeks

She now weighs a full TWO pounds about 14 inches. Say whhhhat? And this week, her eyes start to open! She can sense light and loud noises near my belly.

Ignore me, it was INSANELY humid and my hair (and clearly face)  went buck wild.

Baby Size: A head of lettuce

Maternity Clothes:  Yes and I have a feeling I may be needing some more. Crazy how these clothes used to be big when I bought them! Girl is GROWING!

Movement? Yes, yes, and yes. I love each and every second of it. It's been fun because now some of my family has been able to feel her too! She loves them all :)

Food cravings/adversions? Not really, still just love food, food, and more food. Maybe someday I'll want a big juicy chicken breast again. Yuck, or not.

Nausea, vomiting, or sickness? No thank you.

What I miss: My single chin ;)

Symptoms?  Backaches galore, more spotting, crazy flipping dreams, and still love the potty.

Best moment this week? Our baby shower, seeing some of my friends, and lots of time spent with family!

Workouts: Pass.

Gender:  She's still a SHE :)

Sleep? So-so.I wake myself up switching sides so often because my hips feel like they are falling off, but other than that I can't complain too much about sleep!

What I'm looking forward to? Watching baby girl grow, grow, and GROW some more
