friday's letters

Dear Last Night, We had a moment. As I was sitting out back listening to country music and sipping on my all time favorite beer {that most would make fun of}....I just had to smile. Life at the moment was simply perfect and stress free. The sun was shining and my heart was happy.  Dear Fiance, I hope you never stop sending me song lyrics because it makes my day. Every single time. Dear Jayhawks, Please give us a W this weekend! I mean c'mon look at that shirt pictured above..don't you wanna win another Nat'l Champtionship?! I DO! {I totally probably just jinxed us} Dear Country Music, You speak right to me soul. How do you do it? I'll never know but I sure love you for it. Dear Blog Frans, My days wouldn't be the same without you. There is not a day goes by that one of y'all don't make me smile and be so thankful for this little space of mine. I adore all of you! Dear God, You never stop amazing me.

Love always,

Molly J

letting go

Sometimes I just need to be reminded that God is in control. Totally and fully.

I tend to forget this a lot. And sometimes I just think that I can do everything myself.
Psh, that sure hasn't worked out so well.

As I am in the process for finding a job or...not finding a job I guess I could say, I have realized that I will fall where I am meant to fall. Eventually. Whether it is teaching or not.

If I don't get a job, then that is not in my plan. There is something else out there for me. As I am stressing filling out application after application with no news,  I have hope that something will work out. Eventually. Patience has never been my strong suit.

I just want to open my heart up to letting go of the steering wheel and stop trying to control every second of my life and getting discouraged when it doesn't go exactly as I have planned out in my head. I didn't create the story, so there is no way I know how the story goes.

Sometimes I just have to be reminded to not give up when it feels like all I'm doing it running in place and going no where.

I'm letting go. {And continuing to  pray for a job :)}

bridal shower

Since it's Wednesday I thought I'd rock out a little Wedding Wednesday that I haven't done in so long.

Today I'm going to do a short & sweet recap of the bridal shower.

I was really nervous going into this because I hate being the center of attention. The thought of about 30 people in a room all staring at me opening presents....yeah it made me shake in my boots a little bit.

not the best of quality but my ribbon bouquet!

However, it exceeded my expectations.

In one little room I had most all of the women that I adore the very most in my life. This doesn't happen often and Jeff & I are so blessed to have such great friends and family. Really, it's quite amazing.

What a special, special day.

And you know the game where they ask the fiance a list of questions and then ask the future bride and she has to guess what he'd say? Totally knocked that one out of the park with a 100%! Boo yah! I'll just pat myself on the back for that one.

Of course the presents were super fun and thoughtful but mostly I just loved having everyone there and getting one step closer to our big day. I couldn't be more thankful for my aunts and everyone who helped put the shower together and really go above and beyond with the details and making it special.

dang flash

I've got to say though I can't wait use all of our new goods! Holla!

I officially will be able to cook {a lot}, have something to eat on, many of board games for game night, and house decorations.

friday's letters

Dear myself, You kind of totally rocked dinner last night. Congrats, you are not a total failure of a cook after all. Dear family, I miss you and wish we were still in the Rockies. Dear current town, I can't believe I only have one more month with you. It makes me really sad. Tearful, actually. Thankfully the transition will be easier since I am moving home for the summer. Thank goodness. Dear craft project, I hope you turn out. Please just do what I say and not try to be an individual or whatever. Dear job, Please find me. Please oh please. I'm waiting ever so impatiently patiently for you. Dear spring break, Go as slow as you possibly can. I am loving this whole week off thang I've got going on here. Dear j-town, Thanks for always thinking my food is good, it makes me feel all happy inside.

Love Yours Truly,

MJeezy

it's the truth

Anddd I'm back in God's country, once again.

Colorado was a-flipping-mazing, but it does feel nice to be on Kansas soil again.

Okay who am I kidding I'd live in Colorado in .23 seconds.

Today I'm linking up with the oh so amazing Neely and Amber for It's Okay Thursday.

It's OKAY....

-That spaghetti is fiance & I's go to meal. Love me some Italian!

-That fiance & I finish a whole bottle of wine every.single.time we open one.

-That I wore the same sweatpants a few days in a row. Can't compete with comfy...or lazy. Whoops.

-That I burnt not only a pan, but also fiance's counter top all in one night. Fail.

-That I had the best 5 day vacation ever with some pretty awesome company (the fam bam).

-That I am so obsessed with office supplies and organizing it's not even funny.

-That I'm a Boston Red Sox's fan and fiance is a (hard core) Yankee's fan. Bo Sox & Royals for life!

-That I just don't have much to say these days. What can ya do?!

Hope y'all have a fab Thursday!

rocky mountain high

Just wanted to pop in and say hello from the top of the good ol'
Rocky Mountains.

Yes I am the one behind the huge goggles and million layers of clothes.

We arrived on Saturday night, and skied our little hearts out yesterday.
Yes, I realized how crazy out of shape I am and my body is feeling it today.

However, I'm ready to do it all over again today!

Here are a few pictures of the awesomeness.
Really, it is not fair to those who get to see this view every.single day. Not fair at all.

sleep cycle

Since I am trying my absolute hardest to not finish my project I am coming to the one place I know how to procrastinate the most, this el blog.

I am here to talk about a crazy app that I have just discovered.

It's call sleep cycle.

If you are cheap like me you will cringe at the thought of having to pay .99 cents for an app. However, it is so cool you don't even notice your dollar has disappeared.

The only reason I am talking about this is because I'm like tired, always.
I may have mono or something I have no idea. Oh wait, it's probably  because I get home from work and sit on my arse "trying" to do homework and finish projects when really I just stalk you all and get on pinterest.

Story of my life.

Anyway. What is this app?!

Welllllllll let me tell you. This is what it says on my iphone at least.......

"As you sleep you go through different states of sleep that range from deep sleep to light sleep. The state you are in when your alarm clock goes off will decide how tired you feel."

It pretty much says your normal alarm clock sucks and wakes you in the deepest sleep with you are barely conscious (sometimes). This app tries to wake you up in your lightest sleep state so you feel rested and relaxed.

Heck yes, count me in sleep cycle.

My sleep cycle the other night....

Weird thing is, I researched about the app first. Ya, I don't normally do that. Too time consuming for me. I'm more of a yes okay let's do it kind of person. With this though I saw a lot of people talking about it but wanted to check out the reviews first, you know....since I am paying .99 cents for it and all.

The reviews were crazy awesome, and now I know why. Shiz is crazzzzzzzzzy. Like, it works. The phone can actually sense when you move..and other scientific jazz. How weird. An app...that works, and actually helps me?

It's too weird.

Actually I have no idea why I did a whole entire boring post about this but I have got to say I DEFINITELY feel more rested when I wake up and during the day.
When I get home is a whole other story.

So I guess the point of the story is if sleep and you do not get a long and you wake up flipping exhausted every single day (like moi) then try this app about because it'll rock your little or big socks right off!

Better late than never... right?

Since I don't have any of the pictures of the bridal shower, I think I'll wait to share it.

Instead I'm going  like up with Michelle and  hound y'all with some of my recent pins on the ever so addicting pinterest.

I am in love with blazers.

I'm blank because...

I saw this on some blogs back in the day & thought I'd use it for this very blank day. I original saw it from Little Miss Momma (who I adore).

Ha ha ha. We found this laying in a cooler when we were taking our engagement pictures. Hilarious! Of course we had to take a pic.

I'm weird because....
-I eat ice cream in a cup.
-I buy way too many planners, notebooks, pens, or anything colorful.
-I straightener my hair just to put it up an hour later.
-I tend to buy clothes only to take them all back a few days later.
-I am a paper/card hoarder.
-I lose everything. Seriously. Good thing my head is attached.
-I clean my room only for it to be a tornado the next day.
-I can't watch the end of close sports games. I literally hide.
-I pick my mascara off when I'm tired.

I'm a bad friend because....
-I text instead of call.
-I don't always say what's on my mind.
-I let my busy schedule get in the way of my friendships.
-I'm bad at thinking of doing something really nice and then forgetting.

I'm a good friend because....
-I love my friends to death.
-I would do anything for any one of them.
-I only wish the greatest success to all of them.
-I will listen any time, any day, any where.

I'm sad because....
-I have a fiance that lives two hours away.
-My family also lives two hours away.
-I cannot keep up on this blog most of the time and especially reading and commenting to y'alls. Sad.
-That I feel like I cannot financially assist in the wedding like I want to.
-That I don't do enough, when I could always do more.
-I'm lonely every night by myself.
-School is killing me smalls.

I'm happy because....
-I love and have the most amazing family, friends, and fiance in the world.
-I got an interview for a job I would love!
-I am growing closer to God.
-I will be married in six months.
-I have this blog that warms my little heart every day.
-School is almost over.
-I am alive and healthy.
-This weather is flipping fantasical.
-It is time for March Madness.

I'm excited for....
-My peeps to get their Save the Dates.
-Some very exciting news I recently found out from a friend.
-The ideas that are accumulating in my mind for changing the lives of others.
-My birchbox to come.
-Grilling out.
-Spring Break. (Going skiing in Colorado!)
-Going to the lake.
-Camping.
-The smell of the campfire and country music.
-All the presents I  (we) got at the bridal shower to get some use.
-August 4, 2012

Three days until SPRING BREAK, baby!

friday letters

Dear KU, I am thoroughly disappointed in you. How could you lose to a number eleven seed. For real? Weak sauce. You better win the NCAA tournament for that noise. Dear Family and Friends, I cannot wait to see you tomorrow for the bridal shower. Like, seriously pumped up. Amped. Stoked. Whatever you want to call it. Dear Fiance, I'm ready for us to be in one spot. This whole driving biz is for the birds. Okay, I guess you are the one who drove like 7 hours in the past two days. Really though, I'm ready to get our lives started....together. Is it August yet?! Dear Lent Challenge, I am doing pretty good at the eating healthy jazz {we will pretend today didn't happen}, but the exercise?! Um.....not so much. I keep calling my walking around the classroom for hours my exercise of the day. #fail. Dear Blog, Sorry I've neglected you, this week has been nutso. I swear I still love you. I guess I should really get with it though because I totally lost three peeps in two days. Life happens, oh wells! Dear God, You have blessed me in more ways than I deserve. Dear Schools, Please hire me. I would totally rock your schools world and make your kids brilliant. And they would probably sing a lot so that would be all sorts of fun. Dear life, Slow down, I kind of enjoy you.

Love,

 MJ

First of all THANK YOU so so so much for all of your help yesterday!

Really, what would I do with y'all? That is a straight up serious question. But really...the help is appreciated!

Next.

Whenever you are reading this please send happy slappy jump up and down good vibes to me as I will be interviewing all day for a few schools in my future town. I will probably have a bright red apple face, sweaty palms, and st st stuttering my life away...so I need all the good vibes I can get.

But really...I would totally be the best candidate for the 3rd grade job I want...right?!

Okay at least I think so.

Anyway, just wanted to say thank you for helping a girl out!

My motto for the day....
