HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

May we be thankful for all of our blessings EVERY DAY, not just this day alone.
There is always something to be thankful for! & I am thankful for each and every one of you.

{and hope you are all in as much food coma as I am!}

Wedding Wednesday {a last name}

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

I'm gearing up for the big day by telling my body it has to be realllll  hungry tomorrow so I can actually eat more than one thing on the table without getting super full. Also, that night before Thanksgiving is the biggest night of the YEAR in my little small town. I mean anyone who is anyone goes out on Thanksgiving Eve and it is a BIG bash. I mean...BIG. I can't wait to see all of my high school friends, it is always a blurry good time.

------------------------------------------------------------------
On to Wedding Wednesday. This topic holds a load of weight so I just wanted to talk about it briefly, and pray that someone shares the same feelings as me. If not, well....I guess that is just no good. The topic? My last name. The name I've had since I was born. The name I take such great pride in.

My last name is a part of me. Who I am. Where I came from. And the thought of me not having that part of myself anymore, makes me sad. Like I am leaving apart of myself. Who I am and who I've always been. At first it made me almost scared like I wasn't ready for all of this since I wasn't even ready to leave my last name. See, I am like terrified of change. It's not good. BUT, I am getting better.

However, once again...I come to reality. I realize it's not me losing who I am. It's me becoming something more, and sharing my life with the person I love more than anything and my very best friend. The man I will create a home with. The man I will have children with. The man I will still be holding hands with when I am old and grey.

I am slowly realizing that changes are OK and in many cases GOOD. However, I do know...I just wouldn't change my name for any lad. I will and want to change my name for him.  To become one, to become a family.

growing up

This past weekend I got to tour the little (actually...500,000 people) town that we will call home in just a short few months. Jeff is moving there the first week in December for work, and I will be following behind and moving there after we tie the knot in August.

I have got to say, it was alittle different than I thought. Seeing my future town. Future surroundings. Future schools I may teach at. To me, it was a little emotional. The changes that are about to happen. The emotions of leaving a town I know so well, and love so very much. Leaving something that makes me feel comfortable. I'm not going to lie, it was a little hard to take in at first. Okay...really hard to take in.

But then I calmed myself (because I may or may not be a  little dramatic) and thought about why I will be leaving everything I knew so well behind me. It was because I am starting a new chapter, and building a new place I call "home". And that...is well worth the changes, even though they aren't easy to take in at first.

If you would have ever told me at age 22 I would be engaged, looking for places to live, moving to a new town, then I would have told you that you were absolutely freaking nutso. But now that I AM in that position, I couldn't image myself not doing these things, especially doing them with someone I love so much.

Today we actually went to Best Buy to look at washer & dryers. This...my friends, made me SUPER excited (weird...yes I know). It was something fiance & I are going to find together, for our future home, and that made me all sorts of giddy. I never knew washer & dryers could be so damn exciting. I was opening them up, making sure I couldn't fall in getting laundry, making sure it could fit our large amount of clothes, and comparing prices, etc. I tell ya, it was a weird feeling. But an awesome one.

However, it was nothing like the feeling of when we went around our future town looking at houses. Super stoked is exactly what I was. I was making Jeff stop at every house that had information by their for sale sign. Found about 500 keepers. Really, I wanted them like...right that very second. It was definitely something I won't get tired of doing anytime soon. However, take my house and you die. :)

Anyway the point is...even though these changes are really hard for me at first, and extremely overwhelming the end result is absolutely beyond rewarding. I cannot wait to begin our life TOGETHER, in a place we both can call our home and make the best of memories.

For now...I'm going to enjoy the ride, be open-minded, and hug my current town because I am going to miss the bajesus out of it!

iz random

Okay so here's the scoop.

I've just  been chilling here in a hotel for a mere 500 bazillion hours waiting on Sir Jeffrey to return from work, so I thought I'd bust out a random of all random posts....because I am that bored and my homework refuses to do itself. And because I swear I got lost going a block away...so I'm d.o.n.e venturing out.

I've been thinking a lot. (big surprise here, I know).  About this little blog. I need a change. Want a change. And well, I get bored too easy so I need a little spice me up. Therefore, whenever I get the chance...new blog header, and probably new name. I have ideas but I am a computer dumby so I can't figure out how to do them on my own just yet.

Most comfortable bed...ever.

Another thing. Do you know how much more exciting life was when I was able to cook, make goodies, do things during the week, and actually have something to say every once in awhile? Yeah...that was pretty great huh. I feel like I am empty these days on the ol' blog. And I feel like everything I write is just half assed, which I also do not enjoy because many times I just post to well...post. Slap on the forehead.

The whole point of this little space isn't just to write posts to write them for no reason. Jeez, Molly. I need to write when I feel like I have something to say...something to share...memories to be kept. Instead of this goobily gob of messiness that has been coming from my mouth, I'm going to stop worrying about how many posts I do a week and just do it when I feel like I have something to say...worth saying.

Where the party people reside!

Ya know?

Also, I know you wouldn't even want to hear about my weeks right now because do you know what they consist of? Okay I'll give you a brief schedule. 6:25: BEEEEEEP BEEEEP BEEEEEP, Hit snooze until the very last second I can possibly wake up without being late, go to work, go to class, come home, do homework, creep on blogs, creep on pinterest, and then pass out. Repeat and repeat again. A few days are different but that's the main schedule as of lately while my professors are trying to kill me. Like really, who wants to hear THAT. I don't even want to hear it.

bahah. I thought I'd make this at least a tad bit interesting ;) my camera died right after this...bummmmer.

Anyway, so I've rambled on and by this point I've probably lost everyone reading this sooooooooooo moral of the story: I am not writing posts just to write them anymore. I am here to be me and share what I feel needs to be shared. Thaz all folks.

Have a BOOTYful Friday & hopefully y'alls towns are not as windy as this one...hellllllo wild hair!

Truth

Truthful Tuesday,  back at it!

The TRUTH is....

I'm going to be MIA
Until uhhhh December 8th.
Maybe not MIA, but close enough to it to warn you guys.
I have like 500 bazillion projects and papers due in the next few
weeks and I am going bonkers. And eating lots of skittles and diet cokes (free refills = bad news)
So bear with me....I'll return (like...have good posts return), hopefully sooner than later.

I got my PLANNER.
(erin condren)
That I had been waiting and waiting and waiting for.
What a great day that was.
I don't think I have ever opened anything so fast in my entire life.
Oh the simple things in life.
However, now it is filled to the brim with shiz I have to do.
 Not really feelin' that part.
It seriously rocks my socks off though!

BEFORE...I filled it in today. Yikes.

Engagement pictures ROCK.
Jeff & I got our pictures taken by a good friend of mine this past Sunday,
and it was a blllllast. I guess I didn't really know how much fun it'd be.
I'm sure I am cracking up in all the pictures, but hopefully there are some keepers!
It was super funny because I got a spray tan the day before so I was looking a little more
"colorful" than usual and Jeffy well...wasn't, so I kinda look like his dark lover in the pictures.
Whoops. Sorry Jeff. Can't wait to show you all when I get some back!

I'm going to see my new stomping grounds this weekend.
The place I will be moving with fiance next August.
For...who knows how long.
Kinda crazy.
I'm pretty stoked about it though.
They better show me what they are working with, and it better be GOOD! :)

I love this time of the year.
Fall.
Thanksgiving.
Decorations.
Holiday cheer.
Sweaters & Boots
I love it all.
& I also would love if this weather would stay...forever.

Nothing like Truthful Tuesday @ 10:00, right?

Happy Monday!!

What an eventful weekend around these parts. Fiance & I went to my home town to watch my little brother's last high school play. We got our ENGAGMENT PICTURES taken {so fun...more on that when we get some back}. We went on a date. And relaxed. Perfection to the max.

I'm linking up for some "fun with our phones" with Savannah & Erin.

I actually did a vlog for all your questions buuuuut it wouldn't upload...so I'll work on that another day. I just don't have the patience right this second. Hmmm, or ever.

See below!!! Ah Erin Condren planner ARRIVED!!

wiped out after 3 hours of pictures...trooper!

Let the crazy week BEGIN.

Actually, let's just skip over Tuesday-Thursday. Thanks.
