Wedding Wednesday {Sprinkles}

Happy Wednesday!

Yes, weddings CAN involve sprinkles...who woulda thunk it?!

Not me!

However, the ever so addicting pinterest proved me wrong once again. I swear my life would just not be the same without that site, nor would our wedding.  So yesterday as I was browsing through the site as usual and something caught me eye. It looked like this.

If you can't tell what this is...it is a handful of perdy little sprinkles with a ring in the middle. However, what the picture is there for is to show that this bride and groom had their guest throw SPRINKLES instead of rice, bubbles, etc as they exited the church. How fun! I love the idea...a lot. On the picture it also said "for the sweetest day of their lives", which I think you could make cute little tags for and put them in little bags to hand out.  Love it and definitely want to do something fun like this for our big day.

I was freaking in love. So perfect, especially for us. We probably won't be sending this as our invitation but I just thought it was too great not to share. If you haven't heard the whole story, you can check that gem out here. It's a good one if I must say so myself.

Y'all better watch out in December because Wedding Wednesdays are going to be HAPPENIN. Need to get a million and a half things done and DECIDED on. Engagment pictures this SUNDAY! Can't wait :)



err...vlog?

Just to let you know, your comments yesterday were all sorts of wonderful. It's always nice to know we aren't alone with different jazz going on in our lives. So thanks for making me smile.

Another thing. When I have a spare second of time, I obviously and stalking all of your blogs. Probably not commenting as much as I'd like, but I definitely always look. Lately I've been seeing a lot of vlog action. They flipping crap me up. And a lot of them are so funny to see the voice compared to the person and how you actually picture them talking from reading their blog. Good stuff.

I am tossing it up there about doing one. Just for shits and giggles, ya know. To pass my time. Oh, and because when I was in high school at a volleyball tournament I fell on a cement stair ( on my throat...mind you) and messed up my voice. That was fun. So in conclusion, I cannot yell. At all. Or sing. It actually is pretty fun to try though. If you are lucky, I may even add that too.

So anyway, if you guys have any questions. At all. Throw them at me. Anything....I'm  not scurred. And if you don't well....looks like my voice will stay in hiding :)

Wedding Wednesday will make an appearance late tomorrow night. Big teacher conferences tomorrow and Thursday! Yaaa  buddy!

my nights

Alright so as most of you know Mr. Fiance & I don't live together. Or even close together in fact. For the past 9 months he has been living 6 hours away. Brutal. We actually (in the good days) got to spend every single day together, and every single night. Well, for the most part. We would cook together, snuggle up on the couch and watch our "usual" shows together, go out for date nights, and ya whatever we wanted to do...because we could.

Well, obviously it doesn't work like that anymore. Actually, I am living in my cousin's basement until May. So I have done a huge switcheroo in life, and am honestly still not use to it. I miss it. I miss him. And I miss how things were. But that has nothing to do with this post, so whatever. Speaking of though, he is moving TWO HOURS AWAY in like a month. Excited? Yup, to the extreme.

So what is this post about then lady? Yeah well I thought I would show you what most of my nights look like these days. I am going to totally call myself out right now and put a big L on my forehead. But this picture right here, is my nights...most nights. I could blame it on the grad school + internship + wedding planning, but let's be honest....that's not that great of an excuse. So that's why when the weekend comes I want to go go go go go. And have fun fun fun. But then it just flies right by me and I don't know where it goes!

I guess this is what happens when your love is far away, and all your friends that DO happen to still live in the same town are as busy as you. Someone save me, and let's go on a vacation! Thanks!

P.S. I may or may not have done this whole post to distract myself from all the work I really should be doing. Whoops.

first one down

What a whirlwind of a weekend.

I swear a whole entire weekend feels like about three hours of a usually week day.

Too fast for me.

This weekend I got to see my gorgeous friend get married. The first one yet, actually.  She looked absolutely stunning, and you couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. And surprisingly enough I was crying through half the ceremony. Crazy how different it is watching your friend walk down the isle.  It was funny though because Jeff & I knew really NO ONE but the bride and her family. Therefore, we made our own little party and ended up making some frans by the end of the night.

Sadly I didn't really take any pictures but I know they wouldn't even be able to show how wonderful it all really was. Wedding over looking the lake, fall day, 60's, and sunny. Perfect. PLUS, our hotel room was only down the hall from where the reception was...SCORE.

Then before we knew it the weekend had flown past us and it's already over, and thankfully so is my hangover headache.

Can't wait until  we can actually spend time together without having to be somewhere doing something and actually get to spend some good ol' QT together. That'll be a nice change I must say.

i got a ship date

Since there was no Wedding Wednesday this week, I thought I'd share a little wedding news.

1-Good, 1-Not so good.

Of course the bad news has to come first.

It all begins with the DJ. Okay, so I e-mailed this guy like a coon's age ago asking him if the date of our wedding was available for him to DJ our shabang. He said it was open. Awesome, so I asked to reserve it right away so no one else would get it. All was good.

So I never heard back from him after that, so my mom ended up calling him. He said he e-mailed me back (lies) but he would get it on the calendar. Okay, so we are in the clear. Good stuff.

Well....yesterday I called the guy up just to triple check that he had us booked. You know, because we might just need a DJ for our wedding. So long story short....his words to me were "I'm about to break your heart....." Hmmm. He then proceeds to tell me he is scheduled for work (EMS) that day.

He says sorry. I lose it.

Anyway so life goes on and we will find another one. But it really irked (is that a word? or can I just not spell?) me that he told us it was available TWICE and then when I call to MAKE SURE he says I don't know why I would   have told you that day was available. Say what? I didn't lie buckeroo, I have your e-mail.

The GOOD news?!

Wedding dress store called and said my wedding dress will be shipped here in FEBRUARY!

She said it could come before that as well, but it was just an approximate. Holy cowza!

So I hope everyone has a happy Friday. I am enjoying it so far hanging out in bed stalking the the Erin Condren website to see the little words "SHIPPED" but they are just not coming. Sad. Then off to see my lovely friend get hitched. I cannot wait!!

Okay so I have something to admit. Some true facts that we all just can't deny. I have been a huge blog SLACKER. Like, the worst I've ever been I think. I know I always blame it on being super busy, which well...I am. Mostly just mentally exhausted. Too many things going down these days. But no need to complain, I know my life is WAY less comflicated than many.
 Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know that I'm sorry I have been much heart and soul in the ol' blog lately. Maybe none of you even notice I've been missing, heck I don't know. I promise I'll try my hardest to get back into it because I really miss it. It's kinda weird how your blog becomes almost part of you, and the people who comment become so dear.

I love everything about what blogs have to offer. All of them have a story, a purpose, emotions.  I love reading them, and wish so very much I had more time to comment on all of them and show you all how much I adore them. Y'all are talented. Seriously, talented. Many people look at blogging and thing puh how hard could that really be? Yeah, well they don't understand the time, dedication, and thought that goes into everyone's post.

Some days it really is my saving grace. So thanks for that. Just wanted you guys to know that I am still alive on this Earth, and miss y'all greatly. Off to write some more papels. See ya on the flip side!

Three years....seriously?

The three very best years of my life.

On  November 1, 2008 the Fiance & I happened to cross paths.

Again.

The time I would get liquid courage to chat with the handsome guy.

And on November 1 I found my ticket man. For life.

The past few years we've had a lot of highs, some lows, but always a lot of love.

We have had our GREAT days, and our frustrating days.

We have left our other half for 9.5 months and made it.

It was hard. {Still is} Really, really hard. But we did it. Because we have each other.

And forever....is just not long enough with you. Hopefully you can handle me that long ;)

Happy 3 Years to the man who has and continues to make all of my dreams, and now our dreams....come  true.

If only we could spend this day together.....
